Swim Test Policy

Swim Test Policy

All swimmers age 13 and under will be asked to take a swim test to determine water competency.

Test requirements are:

Swim 25 yards front crawl with face in water

Swim 15 yeards back crawl

Tread water for 1 minute

All segments of the test must be completed continuously.

Swimmers who complete all segments successfully will be permitted to swim in the deep and shallow ends. Swimmers who do not pass will be restricted to the shallow end.

All swimmers will be given a wristband and their name and birthdate will be logged into our database.  It is not necessary to retake the test if your name is in the log book, unless you are trying to get a different wrist band.

Wrist Band Colors Defined

Green - can swim in both deep and shallow water.

Yellow - regstricted to t he shallow end

Red - restricted to the shallow end and must swim with a parent or guardian age 18 and over in the water within arm's reach of them.
