The Springfield YMCA offers exciting, fun, age-appropriate
classes for children every six weeks, such as sports,
arts & crafts, dancing, cooking, jewelry making, drama,
science and more! Programis licensed through the
State of New Jersey.

Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. All of our college aged staff goes through extensive training prior to and during the school year to keep our program the best it can be. The Afterschool team is committed to providing children with a safe and happy and active environment. Homework help and quiet time is provided to all children enrolled in our program. Children are transported by YMCA staff from all Springfield public schools. In keeping with the YMCA mission, we strive to make our childcare program fit your lifestyle. We offer different plans, along with several options, to accommodate your childcare needs. Financial assistance is available through an easy, confidential application process.
Child Care / After School Program
A Pre-K to 6th grade After School program with enrichment activities such as
homework help, arts and crafts, sports, playground fun, and games. After School children also have the option to take part in classes offered by the YMCA that take place during the after school time period for an additional fee.
NEW Homework help
The Enrichment Centr of Westfield will be at the Springfield Y offering a homework help class. The class meets for one hour on Mondays and Wednesdays. Your child can attend ad receive help with homework from a NJ certified teacher. This service is open to our School Age Childcare Program, as well as the general public. Y membership is not required.
Fee: $99.00 per class for the 7 week session. Call 973-467-0838 for more information.
Pre-Kindergarten Wrap Around Program
An educational and recreational program for children who attend either am or pm half-day Pre-K at the Walton School. The goal of our program is to enrich your child’s school day and to provide a safe, happy and exciting learning environment. Extended care option is available.
