The Arthritis Foundation Water Exercise Program
Open to the community
The soothing warmth and buoyancy of warm water make it a safe, ideal environment for relieving arthritis pain and stiffness. It raises your body temperature, causing your blood vessels to dilate and increases circulation. Water exercise is a gentle way to exercise joints and muscles and supports joints to encourage free movement, and may also act as resistance to help build muscle strength. Medical form needed before participating in class. Talk with your doctor to determine whether water exercise is right for you.

Basic Program
Have fun in the pool while increasing and maintaining joint flexibility,

strengthening and toning muscles, and increasing your endurance.

Deep Water Arthritis Program
Warmup and cool down takes place in the shallow water;

main workout in deep water.

SENIOR LAP SWIM
Summit Y , open swim for older adults
during any scheduled adult lap swim.
$10.00 for 5 visits.
